Juggle or Tech-it-Easy?

Makook Smart Living made the life of this satisfied customer much easier by simply allowing for multitasking at ease.

I used to be able to juggle.  You know, as if I was training for a back-up career in the circus in case things didn’t work out.  I would juggle fruit, balls and occasionally eggs – although having to clean up after more than a few ‘oops’ moments led to other, safer options than the eggs.

I graduated from this passing amusement and in more recent years have been juggling technology devices, mostly for the purpose of my personal media storage.  While this is not exactly the same thing, it has felt very similar to me.  I have constantly been reaching for one set of devices to access and watch my videos, another device and storage files to find my music, and another for my stored photos – generally having to save, view and listen through my laptop.  This may have been an improvement from the old, ‘pre-modern-technology’ days, but it was hardly the situation and experience I was looking for.  I still felt like I was juggling eggs at times.

For a while, I must admit, it felt kind of good.  I had that feeling as though I was on the inside with a group sharing a secret.  Like we had found a ‘work-around’ to a technical problem that was not being solved.  I would manage this juggling act by connecting a laptop, switching storage drives, downloading and uploading while transferring files by connecting and disconnecting devices, switching screens, finding file formats compatible with the different devices, etc.,  while one company’s proprietary system would not work with another. You get the picture.  It wasn’t easy, didn’t always work, took a lot of time and when batteries ran down or files were incompatible it was a crushing defeat.  It required a dedication and perseverance that should not be necessary.

What I really wanted was for all of “My Media” to be in one place that I could easily access any time I wanted it, from wherever was convenient for me, through a range of devices that I want to use.

I wanted to be able to easily sync my photos, whether they were from my Android or my Apple smart phone, to one place.  To have my music and music videos from either iTunes or other sources there as well.  I also wanted my video clips, movies – whatever I have – in the same place.  Music, Photos and Video, organized in their category, different file formats and sources without problems.  I wanted to view and listen to them on my TV, through the Home Theater system, or access them through my smartphone or tablet while I was on the move.

By now, you may be saying, “Just click your heels together 3 times and make a wish!” because this is as likely to happen as the Winter Olympics in Dubai (and no, this is not the start of a crazy rumor)!  You may have been doing or attempting some of the same things that I describe, and feeling many of the same frustrations.  Or, you may have waited and watched thinking that at some point, someone will get this right.

Well, sometimes, wishes do come true.  And I’m not talking about the Winter Olympics.

Makook Smart Living has delivered a simple, intelligent, connected solution to the problems and issues I have described.  The ‘My Library’ drive connected to the Makook Home Center box allows me to stop juggling and start spending more time enjoying my media.  It does everything I was asking for and now I’m hooked.  Makook has also introduced into my life the convenience of Home Automation and home monitoring cameras, the variety of Internet entertainment media options and applications, and the pending arrival of real eHealth and eEducation options that I can see brewing around the world which will soon be available to me.

Where once I had frustration, I now have smiles.  Smart Living has made many elements of my life more convenient and enjoyable.  So, no more juggling for me.  The circus will have to find another future prospect.  I’ll be spending that time catching up on a few of those documentaries I’ve been wanting to see, and enjoying every moment.
