Amazon to release their own messaging app
July 17, 2017

Say hello to Anytime by Amazon.

Amazon isn’t only investing in its own hardware, but from this news it looks like it is also planning into venturing the messaging market. Anytime by Amazon is the company’s first messaging platform which is designed to compete with existing messaging apps currently available.

Anytime looks like it is going to be an all-in-one messaging solution that will include various social networking features, not to mention support for encrypted text along with voice and video calling features.

Anytime will also support sharing of content such as games, music and even locations. But at the core of Anytime is still Amazon, meaning that it will somehow incorporate ecommerce services right inside the app. Alexa could also be featured one of the key aspects of Anytime.

Amazon hasn’t announced when Anytime will be launching (though it could any Anytime now – sorry I had to say it), but it is likely that it is timing the release with the availability of iOS 11 and Android O this fall.
