Google removes apps that misuse Accessibility Services
November 13, 2017

Apps will be purged from the Play Store.

Accessibility Services are normally placed in operating systems to help make it easier for users with disabilities to use them. In fact, various APIs on Android let developers take advantage of the features. Though with some developers, they’ve utilized these APIs to add more functions for their own app.

But due to security reasons, Google is cracking down on apps that use this feature other than for its intended use. So if your app is proven to use the Accessibility Services in a different way, it might get the boot from the Play Store.

Judging by the popularity of some apps using these functions, it is likely that most of them might get thrown out of the Play Store unless of course they update their apps.
