Goes on sale in the UAE tomorrow

Oppo’s been a bit of a surprise packet among smartphones. Unlike a majority of the phone brands out there, Oppo has a bit of a legacy in sound, with its range of DAC’s and Planar magnetic headphones. Yet in the smartphone space, it has positioned itself as a selfie lovers best friend, with audio as being a side kick in the larger picture. Yet this shift in fovcus, especially in markets like India, have been super encouraging.

Which brings us to the Oppo F3.

The dual front-facing cameras are definitely the highlight here, for the F3 uses two cameras – a combination of a 16-megapixel camera for selfies, along with an 8-megapixel sensor with 120-degree wide-angle view for group selfies. On the rear camera, the F3 has a 13-megapixel sensor with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF).

The Oppo F3 stays true to the pricing with a sturdy polycarbonate body with a metallic finish. The 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass gives you enough to gloat about while the device also comes with 64GB of onboard storage, out of which about 51GB is available for your apps, music, videos and other content. Powered by the MediaTek 64-bit MT6750T octa-core SoC (eight Cortex A53 cores), the device also packs in 4GB of RAM.

jcrop-previewWe would have loved the brands Dirac HD Tech audio quality to be extended to this, [it’s there on the flagship F3 Plus].

But that said, at AED 1199, this is a power-packed device for selfie fans.

The Oppo F3 will go on sale from tomorrow, 12th May in the UAE and from 13th May in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Myanmar.
