IFA 2017: Leaked images suggest a new Xperia is coming
August 16, 2017

But subtle design changes make it look like its predecessor.

With IFA 2017 coming by the end of the month in Berlin, a lot of new announcements are being prepared – but of course you can’t stop other sources from leaking out new devices. One of these is Sony’s upcoming Xperia XZ1.

Rumored to be a successor to the Xperia XZ and XZs, the leaked design from @OnLeaks points to subtle changes in design, which at first glance doesn’t look that different from its predecessor. It’s still an all-metal built with the camera and flash placed horizontally just like on the Xperia XZ Premium. The headphone port is still on the top along with the USB Type-C connector at the bottom.

Other specifications include a 5.2-inch display along with a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh battery. There will also be a 19-megapixel camera plus a front-facing 12-megapixel shooter.

No word yet if it will run Android O out of the box.

More details should be revealed during the week of IFA 2017. Stay tuned for more coverage only here at!
