iPhone turns 10: Defining an era of personal computing
January 9, 2017

Happy Birthday, iPhone!

It’s been 10 years since Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone at Macworld 2007 to an excited crowd that forever defined the future of smartphones. It was initially introduced as three devices in one: a widescreen iPod with touch controls, a revolutionary mobile phone and an internet communications device, the iPhone set the benchmark of what a smartphone should be.

From there, Apple proved to mark more milestone as it further made hardware and software tightly integrated to one another, yes this includes the iPad and the Apple Watch plus the millions of apps dedicated to bringing a plethora of information at your fingertips.

Apple Tim Cook did say that the iPhone has already been part of customer’s lives more than ever and quickly pointed out how it revolutinized the way we communicate. “We are just getting started. The best is yet to come,” he said in a statement.

What does this mean? Since 2017 is the iPhone’s 10th anniversary, users are excited as to what the next iPhone could bring.
