KFC just made a smartphone. Yes, we’re serious
July 13, 2017

In partnership with Huawei.

And today’s most random news item goes to Huawei and KFC. Why? They’ve recently just partnered to make the first KFC-branded commemorative smartphone. Called the Huawei Chang, the device was made to celebrate KFC’s presence in China for the past 30 years.

It seems that the smartphone is simply a rebranded Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus painted with KFC’s signature red color along with the Colonel Sanders logo at the back.

Purchasing the smartphone in China will earn you 10,000 credits to be used in KFC stores there – though we’re not sure how the value would be. You also have the chance to browse KFC’s menus right from the smartphone.

The Huawei Change will be sold in only 5,000 pieces and is only available in China (for now).
