A few months ago, Snapchat has announced that it will be revamping its UI to accommodate more users who say that their interface is confusing. Now, regular users of Snapchat are now clamoring to revert the new changes implanted by the company.
There was also a massive uproar on social media telling Snapchat to revert to its old design – even a Change.org petition has been made.
The new design slowly rolled out to a few users in November, and last week saw Snap rolling out the new design to everyone.
The new design was said to have a better focus on separating content from your friends and media. Activities from your friends is now on the left and all media content can be found on the right.
The Discover tab now has content from various publishers and other creators and this is where you’ll also find Snap Map, the Search function and the Our Stories section.
Snapchat did say that the change could create disruption especially for current users, but just like any other app that got a visual overhaul, time will only tell if the changes will actually make it good or not.
