Sennheiser HD 599 Review
January 9, 2017

Let the music flow.

Sennheiser’s always been in the forefront of audio peripherals for several years, and their current flagship, the HD 599 is no exception.

The Sennheiser HD 599 is mostly plastic, though its sturdy build is something that should make survive everyday usage. The padded headband also helps you wear the headphones for longer periods of time. The ear pads, which are replaceable, also feature snug fit, and while it does not completely block out the sound, it still manages to deliver a decent sound experience.

Coming with a removable cable and a stereo adapter plug, the contents of the Sennheiser HD 599’s package is minimal, but that’s basically all the necessary stuff that you need to have.

Using the Sennheiser HD 599 is mostly straightforward, and I used the headphones for listening to audio tracks that varied from high resolution iTunes files I streamed on my iPhone to other uncompressed music I played on my computer.

Mid and highs were the strong points of the Sennheiser HD 599. Voices were clear and there was varying detail in the sound. Sound output was warm and event he frequency range was accurate. No distortion was heard even at high volume.

With no hesitations, the Sennheiser HD 599 tops as one of our favorite headphones. It offers plenty of range and a great sound output – something that audiophiles would love.
