Meet the Acer Nitro 5.

At CES 2018 in Las Vegas, Acer has officially announced its newest gaming laptop the Nitro 5. This gaming laptop features AMD’s latest crop of Ryzen mobile CPUs which is an upgrade from the previous AMD APUs. You also have the option to use the latest Radeon RX 560X to fuel your graphics needs.

Combine that with a brand new DDR4 system and you got yourself a notebook that can match more expensive setups. Even the keyboard and the overall design of the Nitro 5 meets the needs of the any gamer, casual or not.

There’s a red-backlit keyboard along with highlighted W, A, S, D buttons. There is also a numerical keypad that should make gaming even easier. Even the huge trackpad is also backlit.

The Nitro 5 runs on Windows 10, and a special Nitro Sense software will come pre-installed that monitors the CPU and the GPU’s performance – something that every budding user should enjoy seeing.

Acer said that the Nitro 5’s price will start at $799, making it officially cheaper than an iPhone X. It should hit stores around May and we will update this news with local availability and pricing once it is available.
