Meet the Acer Chromebook 315.

Acer’s line of Chromebooks have just gotten an upgrade today: the 15.6-inch Chromebook line is now powered by the 7th generation AMD A6-9220C and A4-9120C CPU. This marks the first time an AMD CPU will run on a Chromebook.

“The 15.6-inch Chromebook has been one of the cornerstones of the Acer Chromebook line,” said James Lin, General Manager, Commercial and Detachable Notebooks, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. “The Acer Chromebook 315 builds on the line’s core attributes — a huge 15.6-inch display, great speakers and a stylish design — to now include new AMD processors and Radeon graphics that will effortlessly power the growing selection of Chrome and Android™ apps that have been embraced by so many students, families and business users.”

Features of the new Acer Chromebook include a full HD 15.6-inch display, along with a full HD resolution. It’s IPS-based meaning that colors will look brilliant no matter what angle you’re looking at them from. There’s an HD webcam built right in the device that supports a wide 88-degree field of view.

Other specifications include standard USB and Type-C ports, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The Acer Chromebook 315 will be available in non-touch and touchscreen options and up to 8 GB and 32 GB of eMMC storage.
