Expanding the product line.

Up until now, the Intel and ARM are the only choices you have when purchasing a Chromebook. But as CES 2019 starts this week, we now know that AMD will be an added option when purchasing a Chromebook.

HP’s Chromebook 14 to be exact, will be available in your choice of an AMD A4 or A6 processor and powered by an AMD Radeon R4 or R5 graphics chip. Additional specifications include your choice of a 1366×768 (no touch) and 1920×1080 (touchscreen) resolution on the 14-inch display.

There’s also 4 GB of RAM with 32 GB of eMMC storage that you can expand using the microSD card slot. Input ports include the usual USB and USB-C, which is also used for charging. The HP Chromebook can support up to 9 hours of battery life.

The HP Chromebook 14’s price will start at $269, which easily makes it a very affordable option.
