Asus debuts a plethora of new devices across its notebook line

New laptops from the ZenBook, VivoBook, ExpertBook, Chromebook, and TUF Gaming Series announced.

Asus has just announced the latest line up of new laptops on its Be Ahead virtual launch that took place during CES 2021. Some of the new notebooks that were announced include the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582), ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482), VivoBook S14 (S435), ExpertBook B9 (B9400 vPro), Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5500), Chromebook CX9 (CX9400), BR1100 for education and the TUF Dash gaming laptop.

ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582) – This next-generation 15-inch laptop features a tilting Asus ScreenPad Plus, a 4K secondary touchscreen that works seamlessly with the man 4K OLED HDR display. It features an Intel Core i9 CPU with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 graphics that should be able to handle any task and game that you run on it. Other specifications include two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 6, 1TB SSD x 4 SSD, and 32GB of DRR4 RAM. 

ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482) – This notebook features the Asus ScreenPad Plus as well, offering a secondary touchscreen that’s paired with the Full HD NanoEdge display. There’s an 11th Generation Intel Core processor and Intel Iris X graphics powering the notebook, along with an option to upgrade to a discrete Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics.

VivoBook S14 (S435) – This stylish 14-inch Intel Evo-verified laptop features an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris X graphics and 16GB of RAM. It has diamond-cut edges along with a Deep Green all-metal chassis that weighs only 1.3 kilograms and is only 15.9mm thin.

TUF Dash F15 – This new gaming laptop features an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 CPU that should be able to run the most demanding games. The panel also supports a 240Hz refresh rate along with a 3 ms response time. The slim notebook also offers up to 16.6 hours of video playback and can be recharged using USB-C. Despite the slim size, it is able to dissipate heat using dual fans that channel air through four outlets.

ExpertBook B9 (B9400 vPro) – Dubbed as the world’s lightest 14-inch business laptop, the ExpertBook B9 features efficient battery usage for all-day battery life. It also meets the MIL-STD 810H U.S. military test standard and is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with Intel Iris X graphics. There’s also an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 chip that stores passwords and encryption keys for added security. 

Chromebook CX9 (CX9400) – The CX9 features an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris X graphics and has a 14-inch NanoEdge display. It weighs just 1 kilogram and is only 16 mm thin and has Thunderbolt 4, USB, and HDMI ports for connectivity. 

Asus BR1100 for education – This notebook features an ultra-tough chassis along with an easy-to-manage design ideal for distance learning. Available in convertible and clamshell designs, the notebook features an Intel Pentium Silver processor that also includes apps and learning tools.

Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5500) – This 15.6-inch notebook features support for Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce now that opens a whole new world of cloud-based gaming that you can enjoy from anywhere. It offers up to 12 hours of battery life along with a metallic design and an immersive white exterior that gives off a ceramic feel.
