Move over, foldables.
LG showed off a bunch of its new products at a virtual CES 2021 conference and while we were already amazed by the different offerings that the Korean tech giants have planned for this year, we weren’t expecting a final tease for its new smartphone.
We got a glimpse of the company’s new rollable smartphone during the beginning and end of the live stream, which was first teased with the LG Wing a few months ago. Officially called the LG Rollable, the device features a rollable display that expands to a larger screen reminiscent of its large rollable OLED displays that also debuted during CES.
Not much was revealed about the LG Rollable, only an assurance that the smartphone will be releasing this year. While other companies like TCL and Oppo have shown their own rollable smartphone concepts, it looks LG will be the first to bring it to the mainstream market.
