Razer’s smart mask is all kinds of awesome
January 13, 2021

Yes, we want one too.

During CES 2021, we were expecting Razer to announce products related to gaming – but we didn’t expect to announce this one-of-a-king smart mask that is probably one of our favorite announcements during the show.

Codenamed ‘Project Hazel’ and dubbed as the world’s smartest and most socially friendly mask, this smart mask aims to improve the convenience of daily wear. The N95 grade mask has a detachable and rechargeable ventilator along with Smart Pods that regulate airflow. The Smart Pods are able to filter 95 percent of airborne particles and even have a high fluid resistance.

The mask has a clear and transparent design so other users can still see your face while you’re wearing it. It even has interior lights that turn on in the dark and even support Razer VoiceAmp technology that uses a built-in microphone and amplifier so voices can be heard clearly while wearing it.

The disc-type ventilators on the Project Hazel smart mask can be sanitized using the wireless fast charging box that uses UV-light to kill bacteria. The mask is also waterproof and also scratch resistant.

Active air cooling and regulation brings in the fresh air and vents out CO2. The best part is the two Razer Chroma RGB lighting zones you can customize for up to 16.8 million colors for lighting effects.

The mask is still in its early stages so we still don’t know if or when it will be released. Still, this is one of the coolest gadgets to come out of CES 2021 and proves that Razer aims to deliver products not just for gamers but for everyone else.
