Redefining the future with tomorrow’s technologies.

Sony has given a peek at some of its upcoming products during a virtual presentation as part of CES 2021. These new initiatives are based on the theme of ‘Redefining Our Future with Tomorrow’s Technologies’ and Sony is leveraging its 3R technology (Reality, Real-time, and Remote) to inspire Kando (meaning emotion) through the power of entertainment.

Sony’s CES 2021 presentation centered around 12 topics that support this experience, including tools and solutions that empower content creation, immersive entertainment experiences, and technology made for a better future.

Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman, President, and CEO of Sony Corporation presented the PlayStation 5, VISION-S, and Airpeak and highlighted the phrase ‘Creativity Has No Limits’. He was then followed by Bill Baggelaar, EVP & CTO, Technology Development, Sony Pictures Entertainment (“SPE”), who introduced collaboration initiatives with Sony’s lineup of BRAVIA XR TV models that were announced yesterday. After that, Jim Ryan, President, and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) highlighted the evolution of the PlayStation community. Finally, Dennis Kooker, President, Global Digital Business and U.S. Sales, Sony Music Entertainment (SMEI) demonstrated the many forms of unique collaboration underway involving artists and new technology.

One of the products introduced is Airpeak, a new drone design that comes equipped with Sony’s Alpha full-frame mirrorless camera. It blends dynamic filming with a stable flight that’s perfect for content creators.

Also highlighted is the 5G-powered Xperia II flagship smartphone that comes with color settings that help enhance your shooting experience.

Along with that, Sony’s new BRAVIA XR TVs was again highlighted, as well the successful release of the PlayStation 5 last November.
