New 30th-anniversary lineup introduced.
A special press event for the media was held today in celebration of Asus’s 30th anniversary. The event was headed by Asus Chairman Jonney Shih where a collection of commemorative devices were introduced.
Some of the new devices include the just-announced Asus VivoBook and ZenBook models including the ZenBook Duo Pro dual-screen notebook. There’s also a new ZenScreen Touch portable monitor plus a new Prime X299 Edition 30 motherboard and the ZenFone 6 Edition 30.
The ZenFone 6 Edition 30 is Asus’ first notch-less smartphone, where it replaces the front camera with something called the Flip Camera. Specs include a 6.4-inch display with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The Flip Camera will feature a 48-megapixel main camera plus a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
All of these devices will have a stylized ‘A’ monogram that showcases the company’s history. “ASUS is honored to have been serving the hardcore tech community, enthusiast, gamers, creators, and tasteful consumers for the last 30 years,” said ASUS Chairman, Jonney Shih. “I am tremendously excited and proud that we have stayed true to our relentless engineering origin on this incredible journey – one that has made us wiser and stronger together. We aspire to continue to create the most ubiquitous, intelligent, heartfelt, and joyful smart life for everyone for decades to come.”
