Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will move from Steam to Battle.net

Announcement made by Activision.

In another big announcement for the upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, it was revealed by Activision that the game will now move from Steam to Battle.net. The previous Call of Duty games was distributed through Steam.

The surprise announcement was made through a video published by Activision. Battle.net is currently the home of all of Blizzard’s games including World of Warcraft. Activision’s other title, Destiny, is also hosted on Battle.net.

This isn’t just one of the few surprised announced by the upcoming first-person shooter game. Black Ops 4 is also the first in the franchise to not include a single-player campaign, angering some gamers who got used to playing that particular mode.

Additionally, it was also announced that Black Ops 4 will now include a battle royale mode called Blackout that was popularized by games like Fortnite and PUBG.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases this fall.
