Capcom remaking Resident Evil 2!
August 16, 2015

The project is currently in development.

In a recent YouTube video, Capcom has finally confirmed that it is remaking Resident Evil 2 for consoles but has not detailed much about the project since it is still in early development.

Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, one of the producers for the remake said in a video that Capcom will finally give the fans what they want by remaking the game the way fans have always remembered it and bring into a new generation of gamers. “We at R&D Division 1 will do our best to take on your feedback and deliver the gameplay experience you’ve been waiting for,” he said in the video.

Unfortunately, not much details were revealed since as mentioned the project is still in early development. At least we now know that the game is coming to consoles and the PC soon enough. The original Resident Evil 2 game was released in 1998 and a remake of the first Resident Evil (dubbed Resident Evil HD Remaster), was released earlier this year.
