Game On: Assassin’s Creed is heading to the Switch!
September 5, 2019

Black Flag and Rogue are releasing this December.

One of our favorite Assassin’s Creed games is finally getting a port on the Nintendo Switch. It’s neither Origins or Odyssey though, Black Flag is still considered one of the best games in the franchise. Both Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be sold together on the Nintendo Switch as the Assassin’s Creed Rebel Collection bundle.

Black Flag was personally one of my favorite Assassin’s Creed games, and it’s great that I can finally play on a portable console like the Switch. Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag was the fourth major installment in the series that featured Edward Kenway during the golden age of piracy. Rogue was released right after Black Flag, and featured the story of Shay Patrick Cormac and is set during the Seven Years’ War. The game was the last title that Ubisoft made for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 where that was the same year the company also released Unity on the next-gen consoles, which didn’t really go well with fans.

The games will, of course, be optimized for the Switch including its controls and the HD rumble function. Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection will also include all of Black Flag’s single-player DLCs and will release on December 6th, 2019.
