A fully open alpha for COD: Modern Warfare? Sounds like a plan!

At Gamescom 2019, Activision had some exciting news for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans. Its official October 25 rollout may yet be far away, but Activision announced a COD: Modern Warfare 2v2 open Alpha Test, which is free to everyone exclusively on PlayStation 4. Five different 2v2 maps will be available, including two new maps never publicly seen before. Pre-orders and PlayStation Plus are not required for this Alpha Test.

So here are the details of this Critical Alpha:

Alpha Start: This Friday, August 23, at 10 PDT, with preloading scheduled to be available in the hours prior to the official launch.

Alpha Length: This weekend only, from Friday, August 23 through  Sunday, August 25.

Alpha Type: Fully Open Alpha. There’s no game pre-order, and no PlayStationPlus required! Anyone with a PS4 and an internet connection should be cleared for access
