Game On: In less than a year, Switch has outsold the Wii U
January 31, 2018

Good job Nintendo.

In less than a year, the Nintendo Switch has already sold more units compared to its predecessor the WiiU. Reports said that since its release in March up until the last month of 2017, the Switch has already sold 12.13 million units.

A total of 14.87 million Switch consoles were recorded to be sold, clearly outpacing the WiiU which currently has 13.56 million units sold. It is also catching up to the Gamecube that sold more than 21 million units.

Additionally, Nintendo said that Super Mario Odyssey is currently the console’s best-selling game that sold 9 million units. Trailing up in second place is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that sold 7.3 million units. This goes to show that Nintendo’s most famous character is still the most preferred game by users.
