Resident Evil spinoff debuts with a look at the new multiplayer.
During Tokyo Game Show 2019, Capcom has officially revealed a new Resident Evil game titled ‘Project Resistance’, which you can watch above. A spinoff from the popular horror franchise, Project Resistance introduces us to a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game similar to games like Dead by Daylight and the recent Friday the 13th game.
The first teaser of the Project Resistance gave us a good idea of what the game is. The game will let you take on different Survivor roles and one as the Mastermind. As Survivors, you work together to escape while Masterminds will prevent that from happening.
As the Mastermind, you are given various traps and other ways to strategically find a way to kill all the Survivors – zombies included. As Survivors, you get to choose various characters that specialize in different abilities. You have the option to be one of five types of Survivors: Tank, Damage, Support, Hacker and Heal – this could also give you an understanding of what each character can do.
You can sign up for a closed beta on www.project-resistance.com and no release date has been announced at the moment. Fans of the franchise should find something to enjoy with Project Resistance.
