The Spyro Trilogy might be heading back to consoles.
The return of a remastered Crash Bandicoot only proved that fans still love the character and its success was so overwhelming that Activision decided that it might be bringing back another retro game for a remaster – and this time, it’s Spyro the Dragon.
The hit trilogy of games were a fan favorite a couple of years back, and a recent report from Kotaku mentioned that Activision is already working on a remastered version of The Spyro Trilogy. This will include new animations, improved graphics and a brand new soundtrack similar to what they did on the recent Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
While nothing is confirmed at the moment, the news comes from multiple sources who they say are familiar with the project. They also claim that the project is been going on for a while, meaning that we could see an announcement as early as the next few months. Coincidentally, Spyro turns 20 years old next year which is a perfect release date.
Just like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro’s exclusivity to PlayStation will likely be the same for this remaster so don’t expect a port on the Xbox One.
