Here’s a look at the Nintendo Switch ‘mini’
June 20, 2019

Leaked shots could point to a new variant of the popular console.

For months now, there have been a plethora of leaked information point to the existence of a pro and mini variant of the Nintendo Switch but rendered images from Chinese website Honson gave us an idea as to that the mini version will look like.

Starting off with the design, Switch mini will be noticeably smaller, which could sacrifice the Joy-Con controllers. The Switch already has removable controllers, but the Switch mini won’t. It will have a unibody design that will contribute to its smaller frame, which actually would make it more portable. The problem is, if one part broke, you’d have to replace the whole unit.

Other details also revealed that the Switch mini will still use a USB-C port and the same cartridge port. Thankfully the headphone jack is still there. As for the specs, we’re expecting similar hardware as the original Switch so expect the same performance.

While it’s not yet confirmed, Nintendo could announce the console in the next few months just in time for the holidays.
