Ludia has partnered with NBCUniversal to launch a new game to celebrate the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The AR-based game will work in the same as Pokémon Go, where you will use your smartphone to locate dinosaurs in an open-world setting.
Location-based technologies along with augmented reality will place these virtual dinosaurs in the real world. Players can collect dinosaurs and even incubate new ones along with exclusive dinosaurs that appear for a limited time.
You can even take pictures with your own dinosaurs and even engage in virtual combat just like in Pokémon Go.
Chris Heatherly, the executive vice president of games and digital platforms at Universal Brand Development, said in a statement, ““Jurassic World fans have long dreamed of seeing these majestic and sometimes frightening creatures in real life. With the location and AR technology available today, we can finally make that dream a reality.”
