The best gaming phone on the market today.
Continuing the seemingly endless announcements from smartphone vendors on their current flagships this month, Razer has now introduced a follow up to its flagship smartphone from last year. The Razer Phone 2 features mostly the same design as its predecessor, but has improved and fixed some issues.
But let’s get this straight: the Razer Phone 2 is primarily a gaming smartphone – so there’s a good chance this may not be for everyone. Everything from the hardware to the software has been optimized by Razer so that it would excel on any game that you play on it. But since the hardware is also top of the line, you can expect the Razer Phone 2 to deliver a blazingly fast performance even on normal smartphone usage.
Based on the specifications, the Razer Phone 2 really is a beast: there’s a Snapdragon 845 processor along with an improved thermal cooling solution that Razer says improves performance compared to other smartphones with the same CPU.
Also, a highlight on the Razer Phone 2 is the 120 Hz display that is now 50 percent brighter. It’s also IP67 certified along with front-facing speakers that’s now louder and it also supports wireless charging.
Moving on to the camera, you now have a dual-camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel lens. Portrait mode is now included, along with improvements in low light photography.
The Razer Phone 2 will start selling at $799.
