January 2, 2020

Here are our picks for the most awaited games of 2020.

One thing to get excited about 2020 is the long list of games that are scheduled to release in the next couple of months. Nearly every console has something to offer from the PlayStation 4 to the Xbox One X. This year will also see the launch of the next generation of game consoles, where we will see another big transition of games being made for the current and next-gen platforms.

We listed down more than a hundred titles, but these 10 games are the ones we can’t wait to play:

Watch Dogs: Legion (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Stadia) – Ubisoft’s latest installment of the popular high-tech open-world hacking game returns with Watch Dogs: Legion, which is now set in a fictionalized version of London.

Release date: TBA

Dying Light 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One) – Probably one of the most awaited games this year, this sequel to the open-world survival horror game takes place 15 years after the first game. It features a new protagonist and will feature the same parkour type gameplay that made the first game such a hit.

Release date: Spring 2020

Marvel’s Avengers (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia) – Despite the mixed initial reactions, this Avengers game from Square Enix is shaping up to be one of the best adaptations of the famous Marvel superhero lineup.

Release date: May 15, 2020

Ghost of Tsushima (PS4) – This action-adventure game already impressed us with its visuals, and playing a samurai is always something everyone has dreamed of.

Release date: Q3 2020

DOOM Eternal (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, Switch) – This sequel to the hit remake brings back all the crazy first-person shooter action that made the franchise famous.

Release date: March 20, 2020

Half-Life: Alyx (PC) – This sort-of prequel to the Half-Life series isn’t the game everyone wanted, but from what we’re seeing it’s already good enough to be on our list. Note however that this is a flagship VR game, meaning that you have to play the game using any of the available VR headsets.

Release date: March 2020

Halo Infinte (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X) – Master Chief makes a triumphant return with Halo Infinite, the new game from Microsoft Studios. While the game is a launch title for the new Xbox Series X, the game will also be available to Xbox One and PC users as well.

Release date: Q4 2020

Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4) – This reimagining of one of the most popular Final Fantasy titles was made from scratch and word has it is that it will cover story elements not featured previously.

Release date: March 3, 2020

The Last of Us Part II (PS4) – Unarguably one of the most awaited PlayStation exclusives, The Last of Us Part II brings back the character of Ellie, set five years after the first game.

Release date: May 29, 2020

Cyberpunk 2077 (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia) – This futuristic open-world first-person game is also one of the most awaited games this year, especially after the announcement that Keanu Reeves has a role in the game and the fact that it was made by CD Projekt Red (The Witcher 3).
