The new game was announced during Star Wars Celebration.
While everyone is still geeking out over the new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer released over the weekend, EA and Respawn Entertainment has also announced a new that’s coming right before the movie releases – and it looks awesome. Star Wars games in the past have been pretty much hit and miss, so there’s a lot riding on this new game. Here’s what we know so far:
The title – As you may have seen from the trailer, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be the name of the new Star Wars game and yes, it will take place in the same universe as the movies.
The story – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s main character will be a Padawan named Cal Kestis. He managed to escape Order 66 right after Emperor Palpatine declared it during Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The game will take place right after the movie as he goes into hiding trying to survive.
The game – Unlike Star Wars Battlefront that was released a couple of years ago, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be a single-player game. It was also mentioned that the game will not feature any sort of microtransactions, which was a welcome move from gamers and Star Wars fans.
The developers – The game will be developed by Respawn Entertainment, who’s responsible for hits such as Titanfall and Apex Legends. If you’re a fan of those games, then expect the same quality with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The release date – It’s now confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 15th, so you have a month to play before heading to the cinemas to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
