The Xbox Elite Controller 2.0 is coming soon.
Xbox’s Elite Controller was originally released in 2015 and offered a more customizable way for you to adjust the various triggers and buttons. It’s a perfect companion for any serious gamer on the Xbox One (and it also works on Windows).
But leaked images that first showed up on Baidu may now point to an upcoming successor to the Xbox’s Elite controller. The new controller will now utilize the USB-C standard as its main point of connection, along with enhancements on the buttons, triggers, and paddles.
Other enhancements point to a 3-profile hardware switch and Bluetooth support so you can connect it wirelessly to any PC running Windows 10. It was also mentioned that the new Elite controller will have an improved analog stick where you can manually adjust the tension.
There is also a new Hair Trigger Locks that now comes in three levels and it was mentioned that the charging port at the back will have a magnetic function so it is easy to remove the cable (similar to the MagSafe chargers found on the MacBook).
From the looks of it, Microsoft is waiting until this summer’s E3 to officially reveal the device.
