Steam Link and Steam Video apps to launch on iOS and Android devices.

A few days ago, Stream has just announced that Steam Link and Steam Video apps are making its way to mobile devices. This will extend Steam’s services where you can stream your gaming library straight to your smartphone.

With your PC acting as a host system, you can use the Steam Link app to stream your games within a 5 GHz wireless network or a wired connection. The Steam Link app will be available on all Android and iOS platforms, and this includes smartphones, tablets, and even its own corresponding TV apps. The Steam Link app will also add support to the Steam Controller so you can use it as a controller for playing your games.

The Stream Video app will also launch with Steam Link, where it will let you enjoy movies and TV shows that are available on Steam – unlike the games, we’re guessing this feature will only be limited to a few countries.

The Steam Link app is scheduled to release on May 21st. More details can be found at www.steampowered.com.
