Movie Trailer Roundup: Super Bowl Spots 2017

February 6, 2017

Fast, Furious and Pirates.

Super Bowl 51 just concluded with a mighty win for the New England Patriots. But the game itself is a big draw to upcoming films, who use the event to tease the new movies coming in the next few months.

Here’s a roundup of the new movie trailers that aired during Super Bowl:

Ghost in the Shell – Scarlett Johansson stars in this live action remake of the famous anime.

John Wick: Chapter 2 – Considering how awesome the first movie was, we can’t wait to see Keanu Reeves back in action.

Logan – Hopefully Hugh Jackman’s (supposedly) last take on Wolverine will be the best.

A Cure for Wellness – This Hitchcock-inspired thriller directed by Gore Verbinski looks like its will be a great and creepy thriller.

Life – Rather than a simple spot we are given a brand new trailer for the new space thriller. Think of it as Gravity meets Alien.

Transformers: The Last Knight – Much like what we have seen from the first trailer, we see more explosions as only Michael Bay can provide.

Baywatch – The new Baywatch movie looks like it’s going to be as fun as the TV show.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – We now get a first look at Jack Sparrow with this new trailer and even a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo by Orlando Bloom’s Will Turner.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Looks like we now a confirmation that former villain Nebula will join the Guardians along with Mantis, who’s rumored to be the half-sister of Star-Lord.

The Fate of the Furious – We get to see more of the ridiculous stunts that you can expect from this eighth installment.

Stranger Things Season 2 – It’s not a movie, but this is easily one of the most awaited TV shows of this year. Halloween can’t be far away.
