DC gave a preview of its upcoming films.
While many of us are still uncertain about going back to the cinema due to the ongoing pandemic, there’s a good chance that we all miss going to the theater on opening night filled with excited fans ready to see the next blockbuster movie.
DC Fandome was a chance to showcase everything DC that happened virtually just this past weekend – and it didn’t disappoint. Similar to its panels during Comic-Con, DC showed off every upcoming comic, movie, and game that should keep us hyped for the upcoming months. Games like Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League were front and center on the games front, but our favorite of course is the movies that are coming next month and are currently in production.
Here’s a round-up of the upcoming DC movie we can’t wait to see!
Wonder Woman 1984 – In this second trailer for the highly anticipated sequel (hopefully releasing in October) that has been delayed multiple times, we finally get a glimpse at Diana’s new nemesis Cheetah, played by the awesome Kristen Wiig.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League – After years of campaigning, fans were treated to a first look at Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League, which is confirmed to come in four 1-hour episodes. The four-hour epic arrives exclusively on HBO Max in the US in 2021, though we’re not sure how Warner Bros. is planning to release the cut in other territories where its streaming service isn’t available.
The Batman – Another Batman movie is in the works, but this grittier look at the caped crusader seems to add a level of realism similar to the Nolan flicks, but with some violence thrown in.
The Suicide Squad – We finally get a sneak peek at the upcoming sequel/reboot of sorts headlined by James Gunn. It looks more action-packed than the last movie, and hopefully and turns out to be much better.
Black Adam – The Rock headlines a look at this story of the infamous foe of Shazam, which looks pretty badass and we can’t wait to see him play the role that’s been teased for years now.
Speaking of Shazam!, we also got confirmation that a sequel is now being developed with a 2022 release date. Director David F Sandberg also revealed the title of the sequel through a tweet:

Additionally, details about Aquaman 2 were also shared, including the return of Patrick Wilson’s Ocean Master. Lastly, we also have more details about Ezra Miller’s Flash movie. The film will see Barry Allen traveling through time and will have encounters with other DC characters including previous Batman actors Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck.
