It’s amazingly weird.
While we are all waiting for Black Widow’s release in November, Disney and Marvel Studios finally showcased a peek at WandaVision, one of the few live-action series debuting on Disney+. The series is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 which also includes movies that are now in production.
The trailer showcases the Avengers lovers Wanda and Vision living in a world that came right out of an old school American sitcom. Echoing episodes from I Love Lucy that at times also come in black and white, we’re presented with another weird side of the MCU that’s definitely getting us excited.
In case you haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame (which we’re guessing you did), then you probably didn’t know that [SPOILER ALERT] that Vision died when Thanos took the Soul Stone that’s powering him.
We don’t know yet how WandaVision plays into the MCU storyline, but what we know is that the series will act as a prologue to Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, where Wanda will also be a lead alongside the Sorcerer Supreme.
No word yet as to when the series will debut on Disney+ but we’re assured that it will be streaming this year. WandaVision is one of the few spin-off series from Marvel Studios as it expands its universe beyond the movies. Other series confirmed by Marvel Studios include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and the animated series What If?
