Movie Trailer Roundup: Cars, Angels and Bond
June 30, 2019

Here are some of the new movie trailers that you may have missed this week.

The summer season is almost over, and while it was mostly dominated by Avengers: Endgame (which is still showing in cinemas), here comes a bunch of new trailers that give us a peek at what movies we can expect in the next couple of months.

Bond 25 – Right, it’s not really a trailer of sorts, but production for the next James Bond movie has started. It doesn’t have a title at the moment, but we get a glimpse at some of the action that we can expect for the next movie. Daniel Craig returns as James Bond, in what possibly may be his last movie for the franchise

Charlie’s Angels – Here’s another reboot of the popular TV series, Charlie’s Angels. While not a sequel to the 2000 movies starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu, it does take place in the same universe where a new batch of Angels are being recruited. The new cast includes Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. Elizabeth Banks writes and directs the new movie, who will also play the new Bosley.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw – This spin-off brings in former enemies Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, now off to their own adventure. The action is over-the-top and the plot may be ridiculous, but if it’s as awesome as the Fast & Furious movies then sign me up!

Stuber – While this may look like another cliched buddy cop film, I must admit laughing for a moment seeing Kumail Nanjiani and Dave Bautista have a banter.

The Current War – It’s not really a war movie, but the term current here means electricity. The movie dramatizes the story of Thomas Edison, George Westinghouse, and Nikola Tesla. The fact that Benedict Cumberbatch plays Edison and it also stars Tom Holland is enough for me to book my tickets now.

Which one of these movies are you excited to see? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
