Here are the new movie trailers that you may have missed.
As 2018 comes to a close, production companies have now started gearing up for 2019’s upcoming hits – here are some of the new movie trailers that have come out in the past week (sorry but still no Avengers 4):
Aquaman – Releasing next month, this new movie focuses on the aquatic superhero first seen in Justice League. If the movie’s as awesome as the trailer then there’s a good chance that it will receive better praise compared to Justice League.
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu – Ryan Reynolds voices one of the most beloved animated characters in this live-action Pokémon movie. It looks nice, though we can’t help but think that Pikachu sounds like Deadpool.
Toy Story 4 – I still believe the third movie perfectly ended the series, but if Pixar has another story to tell, then I’m interested.
Dumbo – One of three Disney remakes to arrive in 2019, Dumbo’s live-action retelling will be directed by Tim Burton and will star Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, and Eva Green.
Aladdin – Up next on the Disney remake list is Aladdin starring Will Smith as the Genie (famously portrayed by the late Robin Williams). It’s a short teaser so I’d reserve judgment until I see more of it.
The Lion King – Probably my most awaited amongst the Disney remakes of 2019, it has the same photorealistic animation first seen in The Jungle Book. Even hearing that music again gives me goosebumps – so I hope it delivers.
Captain Marvel – While we patiently wait for Avengers 4, we can for now ‘marvel’ at the first female-led superhero movie from Marvel Studios. It’s a fitting introduction to the heroine before she joins the Avengers.
The Curse of La LLorona – I’m a sucker for horror and a big fan of the Conjuring franchise. While it wasn’t clear if it’s part of the same universe (because it has one of the characters from Annabelle), we’re still excited about this new James Wan-produced horror flick.
