Yes, we also can’t wait for Avengers: Infinity War.

2018 brings a new slate of movies that should keep cinemas busy for the rest of the year. A bunch of these movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 are surefire hits. But in case you need a handy list of what movies to expect this year, check it out below:

Maze Runner: The Death Cure – The final part of this Hunger Games-esque trilogy finally lands in theaters after a year of delay following the injury of lead actor Dylan O’Brien.

Winchester – Helen Mirren stars in this horror movie loosely based on a true story.

Black Panther – Creed’s Ryan Coogler will bring one of the most famous Marvel superheroes in the big screen for the first time. It should keep us distracted enough before Infinity War opens a few months after.

Annihilation – Natalie Portman starts in this thriller from Alex Garland, the dude who made the awesome Ex Machina.

Red Sparrow – It’s Jennifer Lawrence playing a Russian super-spy. Need we say more?

A Wrinkle in Time – Based on the book of the same name, this fantasy adventure features the talents of Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Oprah.

The Strangers: Prey at Night – Sequel to the 2008 cult hit, the movie follows the same masked murderers from the first movie finding their next prey.

Tomb Raider – A reboot of the film series based on the popular game heroine. Looks like it will follow the story of the 2013 game reboot and now stars Alicia Vikander in the role of Lara Croft.

Pacific Rim Uprising – Despite the awesomeness of the first movie, it didn’t really break any box office records, but seeing as this sequel has bigger and badder action sequences we’re hoping it will be a hit.

Ready Player One – It’s a movie that features virtual reality with a host of various cameos from your favorite pop culture icons. Did we mention it’s directed by Steven Spielberg?

A Quiet Place – Emily Blunt stars with real-life husband John Krasinski (who’s also directing) in movie about a world where silence is key to your survival.

Rampage – Yes, it’s a movie based on that old 80’s arcade game – and it stars The Rock.

Avengers: Infinity War – The 10th anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe culminates with Infinity War as the Avengers finally face the mad titan Thanos who’s been teased since the end of the first Avengers movie in 2012.

Slender Man – The hit internet urban legend finally gets its own movie, though the meme already died years ago. Still, the creepy trailer still makes us want to see it.

Solo: A Star Wars Story – Troubled productions aside, we still haven’t seen anything official from this next spin-off of the Star Wars franchise. It’s supposed to come out in May, and hopefully it’s a much better film.

Deadpool 2 – After the massive hit of the first movie, this sequel will now bring Cable into the mix. Expect lots of sex and violence that only the merc with a mouth can do. Let’s see how much censorship will happen when they show it here in the UAE.

The Incredibles 2 – This might be the one sequel everyone is literary asking for. The Incredibles 2 starts off right after the end of the first, where Jack Jack is now discovering his powers.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – Dinosaurs are back and this time they’re the ones who need to be saved. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard returns in this sequel to Jurassic World, which of course was a sequel to Jurassic Park.

The Purge: The Island – The fourth entry in the Purge franchise will act as a prequel set in an island where the first Purge happened.

Ant-Man and the Wasp – The movie happens post-Infinity War and details are unknown at the moment, probably because what happens in Avengers might affect the story of this next MCU movie.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation – It’s monsters taking a vacation on cruise ship. What could go wrong?

The Nun – The next film in the Conjuring Cinemas Universe focuses on the big baddie from The Conjuring 2.

Alita: Battle Angel – Robert Rodriguez teams up with James Cameron to bring the popular manga to the big screen. Alita is a cyborg that discovers she’s more powerful than she thinks she is.

Mission: Impossible 6 – Its Tom Cruise on another impossible mission. This time he’s joined by Man of Steel Henry Cavill (and his famous moustache) and series regulars Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Rebecca Ferguson.

Teen Titans GO! To The Movies – The wildly satirical teen super heroes now have their own movie.

The Predator – Shane Black who was the writer and one of the stars of the first Predator is now directing this new film. While there’s no word yet as to what timeline it will belong to, you can bet it will definitely be as scary and bloody as the original.

The Meg – It’s Jason Statham vs. a Megalodon (that’s a giant shark). ‘Nuff said.

Robin Hood – Yes, there’s another Robin Hood movie, but with a big cast in the likes of Taron Edgerton, Jamie Foxx and Jamie Dornan, that’s enough to keep us interested.

Venom – Sony Pictures is still making their own Venom movie starring Tom Hardy. Spider-Man won’t make an appearance though, and it won’t be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Confused? We are too.

Halloween – Jamie Lee Curtis and John Carpenter will be back to the big screen in a new Halloween movie. It’s supposedly a sequel to the original Halloween, meaning that previous movies will now be ignored.

Mowgli – Disney’s adaptation isn’t the only live action Jungle Book movie coming to the screen. This new adaptation will see Andy Serkis directing the film and will employ the use of performance capture just like what he did with Planet of the Apes.

The Nutcraker and the Four Realms – A retelling of the classic holiday take that stars Keira Knightley and Helen Mirren.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix – Set in the 90s, this movie now takes on the famed Dark Phoenix saga. We hope it’ll be a better version of what we saw in X-Men: The Last Stand.

The Grinch – Not a remake, but it’s a prequel to the original Dr. Seuss tale. Now we’ll get to see why he is so mean.

Holmes & Watson – Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly will star as the famed detective duo Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. We’re already laughing at the thought of seeing these two on screen.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – Sequel to the prequel of the Harry Potter film franchise, this movie find Nwet Scamander battling the dark wizard Grindelwald.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 – This sequel will being Ralph and Penelope being lost in the world of the internet. Expect various cameos from other Disney franchises.

Mortal Engines – Peter Jackson produces this movie about cities that go around the globe and destroys other cities.  Watch the trailer above to know more.

Aquaman – DC’s next movie in the DCEU brings us to Atlantis as James Wan directs this superhero’s solo outing.

Bumblebee – Focused solely on one character, we hope this one is good since it won’t be directed by Michael Bay.

Mary Poppins Returns – In this sequel no one asked for, Emily Blunt now takes on the role of Mary Poppins. Early previews have been positive, so we’re giving this a chance.
