Could the Dune movie adaptation turn out to the epic space opera we’ve been hoping for?
Eight months after that first look, it looks like director Denis Villeneuve is set to take his rightful place on the Hollywood blockbuster bandwagon.
The trailer begins from the perspective of Chani, who states “My planet Arrakis is so beautiful when the sun is low, rolling over the sands, you can see the spice in the air. The outsiders ravage our lands in front of our eyes. Their cruelty to my people is all I’ve known. What’s to become of our world?”
We get a look at The Emperor’s dreaded Sardaukar terror troops, fierce fights across the Arrakis desert, with a peek at all key playors, right from Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides), Josh Brolin (Gurney Halleck), Jason Momoa (Duncan Idaho), Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica) and Oscar Isaac (Duke Leto Atreides), plus glimpses of Javier Bardem (Stilgar) and Dave Bautista (Glossu ‘Beast’ Rabban).
“Dune” could be coming to big screen across the UAE in late October, so watch this space!
