AR experience just got better.

Lenovo’s AR experience Jedi Challenges has just gotten a new update in the form of local multiplayer mode. The newest expansion now allows you to play in ‘Lightsaber Versus Mode’ with other players. The update is available on both the Android and iOS versions of the Star Wars: Jedi Challenges app.

Since its release in November 2017, Jedi Challenges has already given Star Wars fans a chance to be true Jedi through the use of augmented reality. The Lightsaber Versus Mode update would require two players that are both equipped with the Lenovo Mirage AR headset, Lightsaber Controller along with the Tracking Beacon and a compatible mobile device. Also note that playing in Lightsaber Versus Mode means that both players would need to be in the same Wi-Fi network.

“Innovating and iterating based on customer feedback is a big part of what makes Lenovo products different and better,” said Jeff Meredith, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Lenovo Consumer PCs and Smart Devices. “One of the most popular fan requests since the launch of Star Wars: Jedi Challenges is to enable 1-on-1 local multiplayer mode for fans to duel one another in lightsaber battles. We’re excited to continue collaborating with Disney to fulfill fans’ wishes by testing the frontiers of augmented reality. The introduction of the Lightsaber Versus Mode is another step in our journey to offering consumers one-of-a-kind, immersive experiences made possible by AR.”

Star Wars: Jedi Challenges is now available for 899 AED. The app is a free download available on iOS and Android platforms.
