The entire Star Wars Skywalker saga is coming to 4K Blu-ray

February 20, 2020

Here’s when and where you can order it.

Unarguably one of the most famous movie franchises of all time, Star Wars has already managed to capture the hearts of kids and adults of every generation. With the release of The Rise of Skywalker last December, the Skywalker has officially ended, which started all the way back in 1977 with A New Hope.

Along with the announcement of The Rise of Skywalker’s arrival on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray, Disney is also releasing a complete box set of all nine Star Wars movies in the Skywalker saga that includes The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker.

The US version will also include a Digital Copy

Note that the box set will not include the two recent spin-offs: Rogue One and Solo. From the images below, it does look like a must-have collector’s set for fans.

As for the films, they’re most likely the same copies that are currently streaming on Disney+. At the moment, it is the only place where you can watch Star Wars in 4K HDR. There wasn’t enough information on how the films were remastered in 4K, but judging from the quality of the streams on Disney+ it looks like fans won’t be disappointed. The 4K versions will also have a remastered soundtrack mixed in Dolby Atmos.

The set will come in a special book-type case.

The entire set comes in at 27 discs, where three discs are reserved for each movie that includes the 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray and a Special Features disc.

In the US, The Skywalker Saga will be an exclusive release through Best Buy for $249.99 (Dh918) available on March 31st while in the UK, you can purchase one from for £199.99 (Dh946) and will be available on April 20th. You can also purchase individual movies if you don’t feel like buying the entire set.

So, will you be getting one?
