Actress Lindsay Lohan is suing Rockstar Games for apparently using a character in her likeness.
Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan is suing Rockstar Games for using a likeness of her as one of the characters of the smash-hit game ‘Grand Theft Auto V’. This lawsuit confirms earlier reports that the actress is planning to file a lawsuit that “…used her likeness without her permission.”
The character in question is Lacey Jonas, who is apparently a famous actress in the game. In Grand Theft Auto V, she being chased the paparazzi when she asks for help. She’s blonde, which may led to some people to believe that it the game is trying to emulate the actress.
I can’t seem to see any resemblance to be honest (check the image above), and while sources have confirmed that the lawsuit is official, Rockstar has declined to comment on the issue.
Grand Theft Auto V was a critical and commercial success when it was launched last year, appearing on most top game lists of 2013. Its open world gameplay and no-holes-barred presentation of violence and nudity led to the game being banned on most countries, including the UAE. A new version with enhanced graphics is due for launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC this fall.
