The game has been released on iOS for three weeks now.
Since its official launch, the mobile version of the popular game Fortnite has earned more than $15 million – and the game is only online for the past three weeks! Fortnite is free to download and play, but various in-app purchases that enhance gameplay are paid.
Sensor Tower has released a graph that details the earnings of Fortnite: in 20 days, the app has already earned $15 million, which translate to about $10.4 million in earnings for Epic Games and it hasn’t even launched on Android year.
Fortnite is currently the highest grossing app on the iPhone, which has already beaten early favorites like Candy Crush Saga and even Clash of Clans.
Similar to Playerunknown Battlegrounds, Fortnite brings together 100 players in a map and battle their way until you are the only one left. A blue wall will constantly close to a smaller area, which will challenge you to survive in various ways and not just outrunning your opponents.
The success of Fortnite might also be the fact that your progress can be carried over different platforms. This means that if you play on your iPhone, you can carry over achievements and purchases when you play it on the Xbox One or PS4.
Epic Games should have deeper pockets once the game unleashes on Android.
