You can now earn PSN credits for your game PS Trophies (if you’re in the US)

Unlock to get rewards.

A new rewards program has been launched by Sony in the US that will see you getting rewarded for every Trophy that you get in a game. Accumulating these Trophies will result in PSN credit that you can use to purchase games and other apps online.

Kotaku first reported seeing a new page on the Sony Rewards website that confirmed that you can earn points for each Trophy that you unlock. Trophies are the achievements that you unlock when playing a game on the PlayStation, which is categorized into Gold, Silver and Platinum.

Each Trophy that you get will earn you a certain number of points. Collecting 1,000 points can be exchanged for a $10 voucher than can be used on PSN.

If you’re in the US (or if you have a US-based PSN account), then you can sign up and start getting rewards. We may have to wait and see if Sony will have the same rewards program here in the Middle East.
