Danish designer Cecilie Manz is known for her wildly experimental take on technology and avant-garde design. And at Salone del Mobile in Milan, B&O announced the BeoPlay P6 created in collaboration with her, and this is a true revelation.
Tru360 sound is key to the experience, and the BeoPlay P6 offers 16 hours of playtime, thanks to unique Bang & Olufsen-designed algorithms adapted for efficient power management. In terms of sound three amplifier channels deliver 1 x 36W and 2 x 30W for a total of 215W peak power.
In a reference to the iconic Bang & Olufsen ‘Beomaster 6000’ sound system, the Beoplay P6 displays a simple and user-friendly interface on its top surface. The integrated flex buttons, milled into the aluminum casing, further exemplify the design’s pre-eminence of craftsmanship.
As Cecilie Manz put it, ‘With the Beoplay P6, we redefined the archetype of working with aluminum by pushing the physical limits of the material, highlighting the three-dimensional shells and its hole pattern as much as possible. This detail gives a distinctive character, such that the sound is spread evenly and shared with people around you in all directions. The shape caters to the two main ways Beoplay P6 can be used – standing in that special spot in your home, and portability when bringing it with you.’
The Beoplay P6 speaker will be available in the UAE from 23rd April at AED 1,599 (inclusive of VAT). The device will be available in Bang & Olufsen stores, on www.beoplay.com/p6 and at Virgin Megastore, Harvey Nichols, Jumbo Electronics, Dubai Duty Free, iStyle and selected Etisalat premium lounges.
