And you’re helping the environment too.
Batteries are the most essential part of any device. On smartphones nowadays, it’s one of the top features that users usually look into before making a purchase. That being said, batteries aren’t made to last for a long time, and over time these batteries will slowly deplete.
Which is why manufacturers are now recommending to change your batteries if you feel that it doesn’t last as you expected it to. Previously, all smartphones came with removable batteries, which made it easier to replace them. I remember the time when I used to have 2-3 batteries in my bag so just in case my current one dies down, I always have a spare.
But with the current trend of slimmer and lightweight devices, most smartphone batteries are now non-removable. Replacing the batteries on these smartphones usually requires tools and of course an expert so that the parts inside can’t be compromised. You can do it yourself if you’re brave enough (though we don’t recommend it), but manufacturers strongly suggest to bring it their own service center so trained professionals can do the hard job for you. You always have the choice to bring it to an unauthorized channel for a lesser price, but you’ be risking voiding the warranty.
The same goes for Huawei’s smartphones: if you would want your battery to be replaced, you can head to any authorized service center so they can do it for you. Along with that, Huawei will also dispose of the old battery the proper way to also help protect the environment.
What’s more, Huawei is offering a special rate this month for users looking to have their batteries replaced. For 89 AED, all you need to do is bring your Huawei device to a service center and they will take care of the rest.
David Wang, who currently heads at Huawei CBG UAE as Country Manager, stressed the importance of making environment-friendly choices as a tech company. “We are equally dedicated to making environmentally friendly choices, which is why educating our customers about the importance of battery maintenance and correct replacement is a priority. Un-official channels can damage the devices, cause performance problems, put users’ security at risk and provide poor quality batteries that might have not undergone the strict standard tests Huawei follows during production,” he said in a statement.
