AOC showcases its latest display monitors at GITEX 2018.
T3 Middle East recently just got a chance to talk to Sameh Gamal, Business Development Manager for MEA, AOC monitors. The company has just showcased its latest lineup of displays that range from business to gaming.
AOC has already been actively participating at GITEX 2018 for the past years. But this time, the company is joining its distributor ASBIS in highlighting its current monitor lineup for trade visitors. It was also pointed out that AOC is also focusing in promoting its latest gaming monitors which Gamal said is definitely a growing segment in the display sector.
But the display sector is already saturated with different companies that have their own unique features – but AOC isn’t worried about it. “Competition, especially in the gaming [sector] is good,” Gamal said. “For companies like AOC who are new to the gaming sector, to jump from 0 market share to 1, 2 or 3 percent is already a very good thing for us.” But he did point out that the main question here is that if it that number is enough for the company to continue – and it was followed by a very positive “Yes”.
“By participating and sponsoring various small gaming tournaments and activities, I believe we have the means to keep continuing and making the business grow,” he added. “In fact, we can say that we have a stable business here in the UAE (Dubai specifically) and Lebanon and we’re participating at Games Con that will happen this month.”
AOC is also transparent in knowing what other features users want to see in their monitors through surveys and other studies. For example, AOC’s gaming monitor line doesn’t feature a glossy finish because most gamers want a non-reflective matte coating. “AOC also follows the current trends in terms of hardware and software so we can provide the best display for your games,” concluded Gamal.
AOC’s lineup of gaming and business monitors are on display at GITEX 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Center. Stay tuned as we review of their newest monitors in the next couple of weeks.
