App Spotlight: Adobe Photoshop Camera

June 24, 2020

Let’s check out this third-party camera from Adobe.

Announced last November, Adobe Photoshop Camera isn’t just a new camera app, but also a creative tool that breathes life into the photos you’ve taken. The app harnesses the power of AI to bring you tools and filters that can be applied to your images.

Adobe’s own AI platform and framework called Adobe Sensei Intelligence is the heart of the Photoshop Camera app. This tool can instantly identify the subject in your image and then suggest ways on how to make it better.

You can use the app’s built-in camera to shoot your images, or simply pick one from your library. The AI will automatically apply adjustments to your shot, and then you can select from the multiple filters and effects that are available.

But these aren’t just any ordinary filters or effects. In true Photoshop fashion, these effects somehow manipulate the image – giving you images that look like it was edited on a computer. Filters are updated regularly, and even creations from artists like Billie Eilish are also available.

Each filter or effect can also be configured according to your liking, so the amount of creativity you have on the app is endless. The best part? Photoshop Camera is completely free and is now available for download on iOS and Android.
