The service uses Spotify to know your listening stats.
If you like listening to music, then chances are that you’ve already made multiple playlists and saved various songs that suit your taste. With the rise of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, a lot of studies have been done to know how each user’s taste in music is.
If you’re using Spotify, you can check out how great (or lame, but we’re not here to judge) your music selection is. Obscurify is a service that analyses your listening habits and then gets you a percentage score of how ‘obscure’ your taste in music is when compared to everyone else.
You simply go to Obscurify and log in using your Spotify details. After granting some permissions, you will then see various details about your listening habits. This includes top listened genres, top listened tracks, and artists along with various ‘moods’. These moods indicate how happy or energetic your tracks are and then compare it with other Spotify users.
Along with that, you’ll also get some song recommendations that you may also like that you can add to your playlist.
