Amidst a wave of AR and AI innovation, Dubai’s RTA announces the Nol Mini at Gitex 2020

December 7, 2020

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is launching a host of smart initiatives and services at GITEX 2020 featuring the use of smart and advanced technologies. Applications on exhibit include the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in taxis during Covid-19, augmented reality (AR) in guiding customers to RTA service points, and usage of drones in inspecting Dubai Metro tunnels.

At Gitex 2020, the RTA also launched of RTA’s Nol Mini, a mini version of the Nol card, which is as small as a key holder.

The Nol card is a smart card that enables users to pay for the use of various RTA transport modes in Dubai with a single tap. It can be used to travel on the Dubai Metro, buses, Dubai Tram and marine transport modes. The card can also be used to pay for parking.

The Nol Mini can fit in a keyholder or even act as a keyholder, besides serving as memorabilia appealing to tourists visiting Dubai.
