The region’s largest technology exhibition returns next week.
It’s a difficult year for exhibitions. Just in the past few months, we’ve seen countless big technology events being postponed or canceled, including MWC, E3, and COMPUTEX. But for GITEX Technology Week, its original October slot has now moved to December, and will still go ahead with a physical event albeit with some strict health protocols in place.
GITEX Technology Week takes place from December 6 – 10, 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The organizers said that more than 1,000 exhibitors are participating hailing from 60 countries. Featured technology trends that will be highlighted at GITEX Technology Week include 5G, AI, and cybersecurity. Also expect big tech names like Microsoft, Nokia, Lenovo, and Huawei to be present with their own booths as well as local regional entities like Etisalat, Du, STC, and the Dubai Government. In addition to that, GITEX Technology Week will also be hosting the largest Israeli business delegation.
In line with the COVID-19 restrictions, GITEX Technology Week will strictly employ standard health practices during the event, including detailed audits so safety measures are always followed across the facility. The organizers have also stressed to maintain social distancing along with wearing masks and avoiding physical contact with people to be safe.
